Though July may be over, the sunshine_challenge has no deadline for any of our prompts; feel free to answer any prompt or comment as you discover it. We definitely have a few folks still answering the prompts now, so feel free to check back on the prompt posts for any shares you haven’t yet seen.

If you have already answered the challenges and would like to follow any new replies that may come in, you can choose to “Track This” by clicking the little bell icon at the bottom of each prompt post. That will then send you an alert anytime someone new comments there. If you are finding the sunshine_challenge after July, please go ahead and attempt any of the challenges that appeal to you and reply to anyone there. We all came here to have fun and meet new folks on DW, so don’t be shy simply because you found us at a later date.

There were a lot of thoughtful, creative entries this year already, so I would like to call this a success! If you haven’t had a chance to investigate them all, please take the time to go back and enjoy them now. The goal of the sunshine_challenge is to provide a little bit of sunshine to the community here, which we hope to do in the form of prompting discussions between community members and shining a spotlight on all the creative souls who call DW home. We hope we made your 2021 just a little bit brighter.

Thank you for running this challenge. I had fun thinking on the prompts and finding stuff which relate to them. It was also a challenge on how I could cohesively write down explanations (sometimes it makes sense in my head but it's not as clear when I try to write it down). :D

Well done for running this challenge again. It's such a good idea to have a general fannish challenge of this kind in the middle of the year, that is quite different from the Snowflake Challenge.

I have to confess to finding last year's prompts easier to deal with than this year's, but I do appreciate the work that went in to figuring them out, and the range of possibilities they offered. I suspect that in a different state of mind I might have done rather better with this year's. Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you come up with next time round!

While most of my own responses to the prompts weren't very creative, it was wonderful to see both the variety in shares and how some participants found their favourite ways of crafting their Sunshine posts. I was so very glad to be part of this. Thank you, everyone!
