As July draws to a close, it’s time to wrap up this year’s
sunshine_challenge. I don’t know about you guys, but this month seemed to fly by in no time at all. Though July may be over, please keep in mind that there is no deadline for any of our prompts; feel free to answer any prompt or comment as you discover it.
If you have already answered the challenges and would like to follow any new replies that may come in, you can choose to “Track This” by clicking the little bell icon at the bottom of each prompt post. That will then send you an alert anytime someone new comments there. If you are finding the
sunshine_challenge after July, please go ahead and attempt any of the challenges that appeal to you and reply to anyone there. We all came here to have fun and meet new folks on DW, so don’t be shy simply because you found us at a later date.
♥ You can find all of the 2020 challenges linked at the Master List.
♥ If you create any fanworks, feel free to add them to our AO3 Collection (and don't forget to check out what others have already added as well).
There were a LOT of thoughtful, creative entries this year already, so I would like to call this a success! If you haven’t had a chance to investigate them all, please take the time to go back and enjoy them now. The goal of the
sunshine_challenge is to provide a little bit of sunshine to the community here, which we hope to do in the form of prompting discussions between community members and shining a spotlight on all the creative souls who call DW home. We hope we made your 2020 just a little bit brighter.

2020 ✹ Sunshine Challenge
Date: 2020-07-31 05:17 am (UTC)I have consolidated my various sunshine posts into two master posts, one for icons and one for "other" (which this year was mostly links to YouTube videos). Both can be found under my Sunshine Challenge tag.
I will continue to add icons throughout August, because I still have a list of ideas that I didn't get around to.
Thanks to everyone who made Sunshine so much fun this year!

🌞
Date: 2020-07-31 07:02 pm (UTC)Oh, please do! I keep adding icons as I think of new things and I know some other people were working on projects that take longer to finish. I expect things to continue being posted for a fair bit longer.

Re: 🍹

Date: 2020-08-21 11:26 pm (UTC)This was a reference to
firewhiskeyfic actually, so I have no idea how to actually make Firewhiskey. (I've seen a recipe that just called for tabasco sauce instead of peppers... I imagine there's a lot of winging it going on.)
I was lazy and just had some rum and schnapps to get drunk during the fic challenge. I still have some cinnamon schnapps leftover and I just pretended it was "firewhiskey". (I switched over to butterscotch schnapps by the end of the night and cheerfully pretended that was "butterbeer". I'm not really about accuracy when it comes to booze. Does it taste good? Was it cheap? Does it get me drunk? Those are my only criteria.)
